NAMI Sacramento, Sacramento's Voice on Mental Illness

Donor Acknowledgments *

NAMI Sacramento receives no funding from the national NAMI organization or from any government agency, and is a self-supporting 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We are so grateful to the following people who have recently donated. Their generosity enables us to help us keep our programs running and to continue providing support to people dealing with mental illness and their families.

  • May 2009
    Longaberger Party
Patsy and Barry Pavan have generously offered to hold a Longaberger Open House Party promising 20% of the profits to NAMI Sacramento. We'll post the proceeds here after the event. See Fundraising for more.

  • April 2009
    NAMI Sacramento Yard Sale

Over 30 families donated items for the yard sale, and many generous volunteers donated their time to make it happen. We made $3135.45 to keep our programs running! See Yard Sale for details.

    February 2009
    Bench Press Challenge

Sacramento Police Lt. Cara Westin and Mark Bell, owner of Super Training Gym, co-sponsored a Bench Press Challenge for safety personnel in memory of Mark's brother, Mike Bell, who died from complications related to a brain disorder. NAMI Sacramento was the sole beneficiary of the funds raised by the competition, and we were thrilled to receive a check for $1856.00! NAMI Sacramento is extremely grateful to Cara and Mark for thinking of us and allowing us to be a part of this special memorial event.
  • November 2008 Direct Mail Appeal
NAMI Sacramento mailed our first direct mail appeal to members, recent Family to Family graduates and other past supporters and friends, collecting almost $3,500. NAMI Sacramento thanks all our wonderful donors and volunteers and wishes to recognize here the generosity of those who responded to our first Giving Fund Appeal!
